Firestar - Progress

Yep... The drawings speak for themselves. To my everlasting shame, I really did make these as a kid. Please don't judge me too hard on these... I was pretty young. All joking aside though, I think it's kind of cool to see that I am actually improving.

2011: Yes, that's Microsoft Paint. No, I didn't have a drawing tablet. And yes, that is an emo haircut. I remember drawing this one and when I finished up, I saw the canvas was bigger than I thought so instead of adjusting it, I just continued all my lines down and that's the story of how Firestar got fat.

2012: It's pretty obvious I tried to copy the Into The Wild cover on this one. No shading, one pen size and I didn't try to make it cute, I just drew it wrong.

2012/13: I didn't date this one but I'm pretty sure it was around this time.  You can see I returned to the emo haircut and I tried to shade him with a dark orange air brush. I attempted to add some sort of anatomy but... well you can see for yourself. I didn't have a background so I just added the blue so it would stand out more.

2017: Several layers, added a pattern, layer styles, added a background that took more than 14 seconds, gave him an expression, used a drawing tablet and not MS paint and shaded it. Link here fav.me/dbnjdep
