The Next Generation

I just wanted to draw a pile of fluff and this happened. These are my original Warriors characters Duskstar and Oakclaw as kits not all that long after they were born. Again, I suck at backgrounds but you'll only get better if you practice, right? I have a quick little story that goes along with this drawing. Enjoy!

    Cool air flooded the nursery as the sun began to rise just above the horizon. Every cat in DarkClan was still asleep save for two. Mistshine smiled gently as she wrapped her long tail around her two new kits. She began licking at the fur atop the male's head and purred.
    "Aren't they beautiful?" she said quietly as to not wake them.
    Nightstar's cold outwardly appearance melted away as he watched his kin breathe. "They are. What shall we name them?"
    "I like Duskkit for the female,"
    "And the male?"
    "I think Oakkit would suit him,"
    "Then Duskkit and Oakkit it is," Nightstar announced triumphantly.
    A morning breeze blanketed the nursery with the first signs of Leafbare. Duskkit shivered. Mishshine pulled both of her kits close, sheltering them from the cold.
    "They'll both be fine warriors one day," Nightstar said nuzzling his mate. "May StarClan light their path."
